We provide inclusive, multi-faith support that respects your beliefs, values and personal preferences.

Hillcrest Medical Center’s pastoral care team supports patients and families through every stage of the healthcare journey. Our chaplains are trained to address emotional, spiritual and religious needs while working alongside your medical care team. 

Our pastoral care services include: 

  • Hospital chaplain visits for spiritual and emotional support 
  • Prayer and spiritual counseling 
  • Support during surgery, illness and recovery 
  • End-of-life and grief support 
  • Communication support between families and medical staff 
  • Connection with clergy and faith leaders 
  • Support for patients of all faiths or no religious affiliation 

The Livingston Chapel is open 24/7 to patients, families and staff. Our chaplains are available to provide comfort, support and guidance whenever needed.

To request pastoral care: 

  • Ask your nurse or care team 
  • Request the chaplain through the hospital operator 

Tulsa’s Only Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Intern and Residency Programs

Hillcrest Medical Center is proud to offer Tulsa’s only Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Intern and residency program. This intensive program trains future chaplains and spiritual care professionals, ensuring the highest level of pastoral care for our patients. 

Our CPE intern program includes: 

  • Intern program (1 unit): June – August
  • Extern program (1 unit): August – January
  • Extern program (1 unit): January – June
  • Full-time extensive residency program (3 units): June–June

The program provides a wide variety of educational experiences, including: 

  • Hands-on hospital chaplaincy experience 
  • Spiritual care education and seminars 
  • Professional mentoring and supervision 
  • Training in crisis care, grief support and patient advocacy
