About Jason Stone, PA-C

Jason Stone, PA-C, specializes in orthopedic spine surgery at Utica Park Clinic on the campus of Hillcrest Hospital South. Jason said orthopedic spine surgery combines the art of patient care and the science of pathology and biomechanics, allowing for a diverse set of challenges each day.

Jason’s journey into medicine began to develop while he was in college, working and learning closely about exercise science and prevention. He said, “I worked at Stillwater Medical Center in the physical therapy department. This exposed me to rehab patients and orthopedics which truly became my passion.”

As time evolved, Jason prioritized his relationships with patients, making an effort to connect with each person. He would do so by learning what a patient enjoys and understanding how their current problem affects their typical day, taking them away from activities such as hobbies or daily work.

Now, when Jason shares advice with patients, he encourages everyone to be active. “Find some mode of exercise you enjoy – hiking, biking or some form of group exercise and commit to it regularly,” he said.

Helping patients reach their true potential to help manage problems efficiently is Jason’s passion. Jason has done so by partnering and working alongside Dr. Thomas since 2006, assisting in over 4,000 surgeries for Tulsa and the surrounding areas.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys outdoor activities with his family, coaching youth sports, mountain biking, CrossFit and hunting.
