Our behavioral health treatments and services

Hillcrest Cushing’s inpatient behavioral health care helps adults experiencing a mental health crisis by offering a safe and structured environment for healing. Our unit is staffed by a team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists and caring professionals, providing a strong support system and aftercare planning.

We provide care for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis or psychiatric emergency, need urgent help to prevent serious harm to themselves or others, and patients who require intensive care and constant support that can only be provided in an inpatient setting.

We commonly treat the following conditions at our behavioral health unit:

  • Anxiety
  • Crisis situations, such as suicidal intent, self-harm, and behaviors that pose a risk to themselves or others
  • Mood disorders
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Substance use disorders

Our multidisciplinary team uses a number of treatments to care for our inpatients, including evidence-based care to provide crisis stabilization, structured group therapy that focuses on health habits and coping mechanisms, and personalized treatment plans. Once a patient is ready for discharge, our team offers individualized discharge plans to support your continued recovery and care.

We accept patients 18 years and older who are not currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent program. Referrals and admission inquiries can be made by phone or fax, and anyone, including individuals, family members or health care providers, can make a referral.
