About Naziha Malik, M.D.
Naziha Malik, M.D., specializes in pulmonology and critical care at Hillcrest Medical Center (HMC). Her professional areas of interest include pulmonary hypertension, sepsis and intensive care unit (ICU) quality improvement.
Dr. Malik’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine began with her mom, who is a physician. As Dr. Malik navigated medical school and then completed a year as an intern, she said, “I found my passion in the ICU with critical illness and the ability to make rapid changes to patients' health.”
Dr. Malik’s compassion for her patients and motivation to improve their quality of life all begins with a connection. She makes an effort to learn about her patient’s background to determine how that correlates with their health.
Dr. Malik’s go-to advice she likes to remind her patients is that, “Recovery takes time, give yourself some kindness and grace.”
When Dr. Malik isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Malik is also passionate about working with nonprofits like the Child Advocacy Network, where she serves on the board.
