Maya Kinmon, APRN-CNP, cares for hospitalized oncology (cancer) patients and she is passionate about sharing her knowledge with them. “It’s an honor to work closely with patients on their journey,” she says. “Many of them are successful with cancer treatment because they have been given the knowledge and tools to help them fight.” She considers it her responsibility to stay up-to-date on the treatment options and health care trends. “Always be the patient's advocate,” she adds.
“I enjoy learning about the many different types of cancer and working with patients to help them through their treatment,” Maya says.
She has worked in the health care industry in Tulsa since 2001. Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic and Hillcrest Medical Center, she cared for patients at St. John Medical Center, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Hillcrest Hospital South.
Maya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2011. She completed a Master of Science degree in nursing there in 2013. She received her post-graduate certificate as a family nurse practitioner from South University in Savannah, Georgia in 2018. She is a member Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing.
