Many times, early-stage breast cancers are only detected through mammograms. That’s why we encourage you to get a mammogram annually if you’re over 40. Hillcrest offers screening and diagnostic mammography, including 3D mammography.

With conventional two-dimensional (2D) mammography, the complexities of your breast tissue are viewed in a flat image. Using three-dimensional (3D), doctors can examine images of your breast tissue layer by layer. Fine details are more visible as they are no longer hidden by the tissue above or below.

3D mammography is offered at the Leta M. Chapman Breast Center on the campus of Hillcrest Medical Center, Hillcrest South in the South Creek Medical Plaza, Hillcrest Hospital Claremore and Hillcrest Cushing.
