This was my first visit and she listened with great understanding. She answered my question directly and helped me know what could be going on and took the necessary steps to hopefully help my issues.

She listened to my list of symptoms that I had collected over 10 years after being dismissed by previous doctors where I used to live. The appointment was maybe 30 minutes and she got me set up with 2 tests, 1 as soon as the next week. She listens!!!! and answers every question, takes in to consideration every concern and "Could it be this...?" question. All around great person to talk to and get things done and figured out!

My first visit with Valerie Mitchell, APRN-CNP, was on March 14, 2023. Blood was found in my stool, in pain, fatigued and after the loss of almost 20 pounds in less then two weeks, dismissed by others, Ms. Mitchell, jumped into action. She made sure that a "scheduled colonoscopy by or on March 16, 2023. I was relieved to find, that I had Ulcers inside a large hiatal hernia. Right now, taking medicine and watching to see if the Cameron Ulcers will heal and future surgery on hernia. So I say thank you to Valerie Mitchell Nurse Practitioner, and her Staff at the Utica Park Gastroenterologist office. Sincerely, Maggie Record

Staff were nice. Parking situation a bit confusing. Still don't know if I was in the right spot. Saw NP Mitchell as I had requested a female to treat me. She was kind and listened to my problems and asked relevant questions. The visit was a bit short for my expectations, but I was relieved that she actually took me seriously and wasn't dismissive of my concerns. Overall happy with this visit.
