"She is quite caring and concerned about her patients. She takes time to listen and explains her plan of treatment. She answers questions and is never intimidated by suggestions that I might make. She is GREAT!!"
"She is well informed and takes time to discuss my health concerns with me. I never feel rushed and I believe she truly cares and does her best to provide excellent health care, which I believe she does."
"Shawna always has time to listen to my concerns. I don't feel like I'm on the conveyor belt to 'get in and get out.' Also, I have never had any problem with the billing; it seems that it's always filed on time. Overall, a great experience!"
"She was on time, thorough, and listened. She is a top notch provider!"
"Shawna Shipman is a great nurse practitioner and she is a wonderful human being; my family and friends love her. She gives the best care and everyone that works there always has a smile on their face and are willing to help you in any way they can."
"Ms. Shipman listens to what I say and also listens to my body language. She seems to know how to ask the right questions which results in me giving the answers that help her diagnose my symptoms."
"I feel very comfortable speaking to Shawna about any issues I have. She listens to everything I have to say. She always comes up with a solution to any problem. I have been going to her for over two years now. I have the utmost respect for her. I enjoy her and the staff; they are very professional and friendly. I would not trade her for the world."
"Shawna listens to you like another person and not just a patient. Also, if she doesn’t know the answer to a question or concern, she isn’t afraid to say, 'I don’t know, but I’ll find out,' and then she uses her magical powers and does what it takes to find out! I just love that she listens to me and doesn’t think I’m crazy for having symptoms of things when they don’t quite show up. She believes me and we work together to figure out what is wrong. She never doubts me or makes me feel 'less than'. I love that she is the leader but I feel like I have a part in my medical plan."
Shawna received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Langston University in Tulsa. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is a member of the Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
Shawna has lived in Cleveland since 1999. Her personal interests include being actively involved in her church and spending time with her family and pets.
