Scott Anthony, D.O.

C. Scott Anthony, D.O., is board certified in pain management and anesthesiology. He has practiced pain management in the Tulsa area since 1995. In 2007, he founded Pain Management of Tulsa, which merged with Utica Park Clinic in 2019.

Dr. Anthony entered the field of pain management because he found interest in anatomy, science and patient interaction. “Pain management requires inquiring into the day-to-day lives of the people I treat,” he says. “My care philosophy is to better understand the patient and to treat the whole person.” Patient comments about him include:

When teaching people how to get healthy, Dr. Anthony recommends frequent exercise. “Motion and activity are the key to keeping healthy,” he says. “Staying active will help a person’s overall well-being.”

Dr. Anthony is devoted to all aspects of interventional and medical management of chronic pain. He is an assistant professor of surgery at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a key voice in the state of Oklahoma for proper prescribing and appropriate use of opioids. He advocates for the prevention of misuse and diversion of opioids.

Dr. Anthony received a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1986. He earned a medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University in 1990. He completed an osteopathic internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in 1991. He completed a residency and pain management fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1994 and 1995, respectively.

When he is away from the office, Dr. Anthony enjoys all things Oklahoma State University and reading about history.
