Rachael Pattison, D.O.
Rachael Pattison, D.O., is fellowship-trained in pulmonary (breathing) and critical care medicine. She got into health care because she saw the opportunity to care for others and make a difference in their everyday lives. “When caring for patients, my philosophy is one of shared decision making between me and my patient,” she says. “I incorporate an evidence-based approach and then as a team, we discuss personalized care choices.”
Dr. Pattison chose to focus on pulmonary care because she found it to be a challenging field with numerous areas of focus. “I love the variety and interaction every patient brings,” she says. “Being a part of a person’s improvement with breathing, coughing, shortness of breath, etc., is very rewarding.”
When teaching her patients about how to stay healthy, Dr. Pattison discusses the best way to move forward. “I like to talk about the future whether it be six weeks or six years,” she says. “We talk about how to incorporate health into their day-to-day lives to attain quality of life for themselves and their family.”
Dr. Pattison received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University in 2008. She earned a medical degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. She completed an internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Baylor Scott and White in 2016 and 2019, respectively. Dr. Pattison is a member of American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society and American Medical Association.
When she is away from the office, Dr. Pattison enjoys being outside, riding horses, fishing, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. P was Dr on call when my brother was admitted to the er. Before she ever walked into his room up in ICU, she reviewed all of the information that had accumulated from when he was admitted. Every day when we see her, she talks about reports and my brother's care plan. She is never rushed nor does she make you feel rushed. It is like my brother is her only patient. I hope for others who may read my review when researching the care givers for their friend or family member who is in the hospital under her care, that you count yourself blessed to have her on you side and caring for your loved one. If there is a star rating system of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, she is easily a 12 with halos!!!! Linda Huddleston (David Huffaker)

The office of Dr Pattison is very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Dr Pattison has a very good bedside manner and answered all of the questions I had. I have been suffering from the effects of COPD and in 1 visit the medication I was prescribed has made me feel human again. I would definitely recommend Dr Pattinson because of her knowledge and demeanor.
