Jonathan Israel, M.D.
Jonathan Israel, M.D., is board certified in urology and has practiced since 2017. He focuses on putting his patients first. He incorporates and encourages healthy dialogue with each of them. “I present each patient with all of the options so we can come up with a care plan together,” he says. “Engaging with patients and allowing them to have active participation allows for better long-term results.”
Dr. Israel’s curiosity in science combined with his desire to help others lead him to a career in health care. “Medicine came hand-in-hand with my interests and allowed me to do two of the things I love to do the most,” he said.
While Dr. Israel is particularly skilled in the areas of benign prostatic hyperplasia, minimally invasive prostate surgery, urination dysfunction and kidney stones, he welcomes the opportunity to help you with any urologic concerns.
Dr. Israel graduated from the University of Virginia in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He earned a doctor of medicine degree there in 2012. He completed a residency program at Ochsner Louisiana State University Department of Urology in 2017.
His personal interests include being outside, running, trying new restaurants and spending time with family.

Very pleased with the visit and proposed treatment plans. Dr Israel has a very pleasant manor and seeks to understand the problem before making treatment recommendations.

I'm very pleased with Dr Israel. I went to him for a bad case of BPH and my urine stream was so slow it took about five minutes to void my bladder and then it wasn't complete. He first tried two medications in tandem and when that didn't work we opted for HOLEP surgery. It was the least invasive surgery available, and recovery time was the quickest. I am now able to urinate like a normal person and I void my bladder completely. Thank you Dr Israel.
