Dr. Duvall is the only fellowship-trained headache specialist in the state of Oklahoma. “I chose to sub-specialize in headache medicine because of the disabling impact of migraine disease and the multitude of treatment options available that may truly change the life of a person suffering from migraines,” she says. “Life is too short to have headaches!”

Dr. Duvall knew she wanted to pursue a career in health care since she was five years old. “My early desire to become a physician stemmed from the belief that being a doctor meant I would have the opportunity to help others like my mom, who has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis nearly my entire life,” she says. “While my early determination to pursue medicine was cultivated through my mother’s suffering, my passion for neurology was refined in the intrigue of neuroanatomy and the vast amount we still have to discover about the human brain.”

Dr. Duvall is particularly skilled in chronic migraine, post-traumatic headache, atypical facial pain and has a special interest in the doctor-patient relationship. Patient comments about her include:

When providing treatment, Dr. Duvall places value on a strong patient-physician relationship. “I view my role as a physician to be a patient educator and trusted advisor,” she says. “I take into consideration the individual beliefs and values of each patient and strive to provide care that is centered on shared decision making, which will develop into individually-customized treatment plans.”

Dr. Duvall received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. She earned a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2012. She completed a neurology residency at the University of Oklahoma in 2016. She completed a headache fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2019. She is a member of American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society and International Headache Society.

When she is away from the office, Dr. Duvall enjoys spending time with her children, running, practicing yoga, reading, writing and spending time in God’s word.
