Dr. Tatum graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1980, completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma - Tulsa in 1983 and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1985. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Arkansas-Oklahoma Endoscopy Society.

Dr. Tatum’s most notable professional appointments include being named Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, President of the Medical Staff at Hillcrest Medical Center, Medical Director of Utica Park Clinic, President of the Arkansas-Oklahoma Endoscopy Society and Director of Gastroenterological Services at Hillcrest Medical Center.
