Benjamin Kamp, DO, FACOS, has been a general surgeon in Oklahoma since 2010. He became a Follow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons in 2018.
Dr. Kamp earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1998. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa in 2005. He completed his internship at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City in 2006. He completed his general surgery residency at Michigan State University, Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan in 2010. Professional organizations of which he is a member include the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Kamp enjoys spending time with his wife and children, studying history, cooking, golfing and watching Oakland A’s baseball.
Dr. Kamp welcomes new patients. Most insurance plans are accepted. He has two office locations:
- On the campus of Hillcrest Hospital South at 8803 S. 101st East Ave. (near 91st & Hwy. 169, just north of the hospital), Suite 320 in Tulsa
- In the Pine Medical Center Building at 1101 S. Belmont Ave., Suite 105 in Okmulgee.
Appointments can be set at either location by calling 918-294-8000 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Dr Kamp has been navigating my husband through an extraordinary series of circumstances and he’s done it with incredible knowledge, compassion, expertise and determination. Dr Kamp surrounds himself with an amazing team that makes it a seamless experience. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Kamp and his patient care. Dr. Kamp has a wonderful bedside manner. I just completed a six month patient relationship with Dr. Kamp and his staff. He removed a portion of my colon and did a temporary colostomy after my colon perforated and abscessed. Just as Dr. Kamp predicted, he was able to reverse the colostomy after approximately four months. Everything went as expected and I’m very pleased with the care I received. I would definitely use Dr. Kamp as my surgeon in the future.

Dr. Kamp is one of the most compassionate and thorough surgeons I've dealt with...as a patient and as a hospital employee. I would recommend him to family, friends, etc. His staff is excellent, as well. I had as good an experience as I could have expected, under the circumstances!

Maybe I'm biased because I've worked with him in the past (while employed @Okmulgee Memorial as a Med-Surg Nurse) but Dr. Kamp is an excellent physician. He knows his stuff, his skills are exemplary, and he goes above and beyond to help his patients feel comfortable. Definitely recommend him for anyone needing a surgeon - even in an Emergency Situation, he's who you want in your corner!
