Brian Ogg, D.O.
Brian Ogg, D.O., has practiced orthopedic care since 2001. “While listening to my patients, my goal is to understand how their symptoms affect their quality of life,” he says. “Then, I thoroughly discuss my findings and the details of their diagnosis because a knowledgeable and informed patient will make the best decisions about their own treatment. I present options to help get them back to sports, work and an active, fulfilling life as quickly as possible.” Patient comments about him include:
"Awhile back, I fell and shaddered my wrist. Dr. Ogg operated and repaired it. I dont' have any disabilities or limited movement in my hand or wrist. I can play piano like I did before my injury. Dr. Ogg is such a blessing to me."
Dr. Ogg became interested in health care at a young age. “As a child, I enjoyed watching and learning from my grandfather who was a physician, as well as an aunt and a cousin who were also physicians,” he says. “Now I enjoy helping people and improving their lives.”
He is passionate about his practice. “I have always been fascinated with the fusion of engineering and biology that goes on in orthopedics,” he explains.
Dr. Ogg strives to educate his patients on the importance of health maintenance. “I point out how much every organ system – especially the musculoskeletal system – improves with an active lifestyle (including stretching and regular exercise) and good nutrition.”
While Dr. Ogg is particularly skilled in the areas of fracture surgery, arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement, he welcomes the opportunity to help you with any orthopedic concerns.
Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic, he cared for patients at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma; St. Edward Mercy in Fort Smith, Arkansas; Grand Lake Orthopedic Surgery in Grove, Oklahoma; and in Denver, Colorado.
After graduating from Memorial Senior High School in Tulsa, Dr. Ogg received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1995 from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa. He completed a general rotating osteopathic internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He completed a clinical trauma preceptorship at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Ogg is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Association and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.
His personal interests include various outdoor activities and spending time with his wife Tracy, their five children and one granddaughter.
