Susan Mitchell, APRN-CNP

Susan Mitchell, APRN-CNP, has been a health care professional since 1983. She has practiced pain management since 2017.

Ms. Mitchell focuses on having strong patient-provider relationships. She believes every person is different and responds differently to various treatment options. “There is not a one size fits all when it comes to pain management or any other specialty,” she says. “I work with my patients and their families to resolve issues and tailor a treatment plan specifically for their needs.”

One of the many lessons Ms. Mitchell has learned over the years is that the patient is ultimately in charge of their care. “As much as I can offer and recommend options, it is up to you to act on them,” she says. “I realize patients put a lot of trust in me and I do not take that lightly.”

Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic, Susan cared for patients at various health care facilities in Pennsylvania and at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa.

Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1988. She completed her Master of Science degree in Adult/Geriatric Advanced Practice Nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis in 2016.

Susan’s personal interests include attending concerts and theater performances, watching sports and spending time with her family and friends. Her office is located at:
