Tara Linville, PA-C, has practiced dermatology in Oklahoma since 2000. Every appointment is important to her. “I treat each patient with respect and I focus on being a good listener,” she said. “Most patients are in tune to what is going on with their health. While she welcomes the opportunity to help you with any skincare needs, Ms. Linville is particularly skilled in treating acne. “It is not a life-threatening condition but it is a life-changing condition,” she said. Before getting into health care, she was a middle school science teacher for 17 years. “I am familiar with the trials of adolescence. It is rewarding to help clear a teenager’s acne and see the positive change in their self-confidence.”

Ms. Linville and her care team encourage you to be careful when outdoors. “Of course we stress sun protection to prevent photo aging and skin cancers,” she said.

Ms. Linville earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1980 and 1982, respectively. She returned to school to obtain a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies in 2000 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. After graduation, she decided to pursue dermatology. “It was the best decision ever,” she says.

Prior to joining Utica Park Clinic, Ms. Linville cared for patients at Warren Clinic in Tulsa.

When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. “My family is my life,” she said.
