Seniors

Jack & Wanda

Jack and Wanda have traveled to all 50 states during their 62 years of marriage. Their enjoyable life has also provided two daughters, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. And they’re not slowing down. Thanks to Hillcrest’s Silver Elite program - a free program offering informational seminars, fun activities and even good food - they know they have a comprehensive healthcare team to help keep them active and healthy for many more years - and journeys - to come.

Leanne Helmerich

Leanne, through the Senior Care program at Hillcrest, is an advocate for senior patients and their families. She understands the anxiety that patients and their loved ones may face during a hospital stay. Leanne gained personal experience while helping her own mother navigate the complexities of healthcare. Senior Care team members like Leanne visit senior patients to provide comfort and assistance from talking through their concerns to finding doctors and services. In Leanne’s words, she’s there to make hospital experiences the absolute best they can possibly be.

Pat H.

Pat says that she doesn’t have many opportunities to socialize with people her age. She’s thankful for Silver Elite, a free program open to any senior, that goes above and beyond to make members feel special. In addition to exclusive hospital benefits for members, Silver Elite hosts fun, informative events that help seniors stay healthy and independent. For Pat, it’s also an opportunity to make new friends.

Linda M.

Linda spent nearly 200 days at Hillcrest Medical Center – not as a patient, but as a caregiver. Her husband, John, was terminally ill and after 50 years of marriage, she could not imagine leaving his side. That’s when Linda met Hillcrest’s Senior Care team and learned of the incredible impact they have on patients, and their loved ones. From answering questions and serving as patient advocates, to providing support and encouragement, the Senior Care team was there for Linda when she needed them the most.
