Bariatrics

Heila N.

A back injury while on active military duty left Heila with issues that limited her physical activity. As a result, she found herself weighing over 300 pounds. A bad back, bad knees, high blood pressure, and diabetes left her feeling like she was dying. That’s why she turned to the Center for Bariatrics at Bailey Medical Center for gastric bypass surgery, followed the program “to a T,” and has lost over 150 lbs. Heila has regained her health, is off all of her medications, and is once again excited about life and all her tomorrows.

Denise S.

At nearly 400 pounds, Denise could only dream of running. After unsuccessfully trying nearly every fad diet and weight loss program, she felt like she was dying inside. But then she turned to the Center for Bariatrics at Bailey Medical Center for gastric bypass surgery. It was an amazing experience thanks to the exceptional compassion, support and care she received from the medical staff. Now having lost over 193 pounds, she can’t go back and change her past, but she can focus on her future. Today, she enjoys running and training for races - and she’s loving life.

Laresa B.

Laresa had battled her weight her entire life. The struggle only continued after having children and working a desk job. After trying multiple diets, she decided to look into Bariatric Surgery because she wanted to be sure she would be around for her kids and future grandchildren. She attended a support group meeting and educational seminar hosted by The Center for Bariatrics at Bailey Medical Center. Just a few months after her surgical weight loss procedure, Laresa ran her first 5K, followed by her first half-marathon.

Charlie G.

At 400 pounds, Charlie wasn’t just obese, he was within months of the end of his life. He suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, sleep apnea and was on several medications. Fortunately for Charlie, The Center for Bariatrics at Bailey Medical Center changed everything. Today, he has lost nearly half his body weight. He no longer suffers from diabetes and his blood pressure has returned to normal. Bailey Bariatrics has given Charlie years to spend with his family and grandchildren.

Tracy M.

Tracy still remembers when her dad sat her down in the third grade to talk about her weight. Since then, Tracy had tried everything from counting calories to fad diets; nothing worked. Then she met the team at The Center for Bariatrics at Bailey Medical Center. Since having her surgical weight loss procedure – or her “birthday” as she likes to call it – Tracy has lost more than half her body weight. More importantly, Tracy gets to spend quality time with her children.
